LOOP DESTROYER
THE BUILD
This began as an experiment with using epoxy instead of a traditional enclosure. After several dramatically failed attempts, the loop destroyer is finally born.
All of the circuitry here is enclosed in a solid cube of transparent epoxy, so all of the wires and lights inside are visible.
WHAT DOES IT DO?!
This device is a lo-fi looper and delay all in one, with some special glitchy features! The loop can be pitched way up or down, which also extends the record time.
AND! The input volume can also retrigger the loops! So by using the gain knob by the input, a threshold can be set for which anything above that volume will cause the loop to start over. With the gain turned way up, the input sound creates a stuttering loop whose depth can be controlled with the pitch knob. It’s bananas.
Then everything finally runs through a wacky homemade delay for some wild sweeping echoes.
The controls:
-record/play buttons
-loop switch
-pitch knob + toggle switch
-1/4” input + gain
-loop mix knob
-1/4” output
-delay mix knob
-delay time/feedback knobs
